From the deepening and growth happening in WeSpace groups, to the new and growing opportunities for sharing together in community in mystical practice and sacred connection, we are immersed in our divine being and becoming, full of love and flowing in vitality. We are WeCreating ICN!

Your Invitation to WeGrow!

Early in 2025 we decided to use this newsletter to introduce our ICN community to offerings available in addition to WeSpace groups. In April we featured the Sunday Gathering and you can find that issue HERE. 

In this issue we will feature WeGrow, our ICN gathering each Thursday devoted to communal (and individual) growth, transformation and divine becoming. ICN’s previous Thursday offering, Co-Exploration, focused on discussion of topics. Those attending on Thursdays recognized spirit beckoning an evolution to focus more on specific areas of growth. They engaged in discernment and WeGrow was WeCreated!  

In WeGrow we discern areas of growth we are called to focus on by listening to what spirit is beckoning us toward now.

What are the capacities we need to grow?

The skills we need to develop?

The aptitudes we might cultivate together?

Over 6 months, WeGrow has evolved and is characterized by “arcs” with four phases.

Phase 1 is Emergence—we come together in the initial session to listen for the focus God is bringing forth. WeCreators who feel called step up to lead a 4 to 6 week arc focused on a theme or area of growth that arises and resonates among us.

Phase 2 is Co-Exploration—We use this discussion process for a week or two as the WeCreators who will lead the next arc prepare. We convene as a large group to learn about the topic and are assigned to small groups for discussion.

Phase 3 is the Arc—a 4-to-6-week process guided by the WeCreators chosen to lead, using various processes and ways of growing in the area of focus. For example, in what we often call a fishbowl, pod, or nest, a triad gathers to engage the offering more intimately while the rest of the group holds presence in a witnessing stance. This structure helps dynamize insight and amplifies our communal field.

Phase 4 is Reflection—we reflect on our growth, our experience with the arc and how we can improve the process going forward.

Over the last six months the model has continued to develop and be refined. We have completed three arcs: Holy Listening and Holy Speaking; Sacred Story; Presence and Passion.

WeCreator Mark Williams shared his experience with WeGrow:

It has been such a joy to be part of the Sacred Alchemy of WeGrow over the past few months. Deepening in the Divine has happened for me individually and plunged us into unimagined depths as a community.

The first arc, Holy Listening and Holy Speaking, asked us to slow down, trust the contemplative pause, and speak and listen from within the permeating presence of the divine, shedding our egoic constructs and judgements as much as we are able, with the Spirit’s help. A tall order! We patiently struggled our way through this growing experience.

This set the stage for the second arc, Sacred Stories from the Imaginal Realm. From the first story onward, something magical unfolded. As each person shared, the intimacy, vulnerability and sense of Presence deepened as we moved through the weeks together. Each person’s story moved from the “I” to the “We” and became our story. The last two stories took us back to the pre-emergent love that started it all, a place I had never been! On Maundy Thursday we ended the arc by entering the upper room gathered around the table with each other in the Christ Presence – a sense of the eternal story present in the now permeated our group- so much unfolded, at the end we sat in a kind of stunned silence of awe and breathless wonder!

In the third arc, Presence and Passion, our communal sense of Presence continued to grow and deepen. It felt to me like more and more of the barriers to God presencing God’s self as us, beside us, among us, in us, were melting away. Moving deeper into the cauldron together, our Spirit mixing with God’s Spirit we were lighting each other up as we incarnated the light of divine presence. I would describe it as mystical knowing from the neck down, not just from the neck up (Whole Body Mystical Presencing). Sharing in the knowing beyond knowing the alchemy happened and the mystical elixir was spread, spilled among us!

What a way to experience the gift of grace and glory in community!

FINANCE CIRCLE REPORT

Many of you will remember our Giving Tuesday campaign in December, 2024 raised $25,000 for ICN’s organizational development with the twin goals of creating an inspiring spiritual community and a healthy nonprofit to ensure ICN’s future. Today we can update you on several of our “healthy nonprofit” goals:

• We have a reconstituted Board of Directors meeting regularly, working on our organizational health and development. Robert Martin, Board Presider, and Gregor Dellemann, Board Treasurer, have been meeting with the Finance Circle (Luke Healy, Kent Hoffman, Anne Sheehan) to learn more about we’ve done and to provide Board guidance for our future work.
  

• The Board and Luke hired a new financial administration service, which will be more efficient and expedient, as well as provide advice and support for better financial health and development for ICN. You’ll notice a change on your year-end report of giving. 
  

• We are working on changing our donations page so it will be easier for donors who wish to donate from their IRAs, Donor Advised Funds or brokerage accounts.
  

• We continue to explore ways of raising sustainable funds to support ICN’s growth and hiring of additional staff.
