At Integral Christian Network, we see AI as a tool that can support creativity and connection when used with care. This policy outlines how we use AI in alignment with our values—ensuring it serves, not replaces, human and divine wisdom. With transparency, responsibility, and ongoing discernment, we aim to use AI ethically and in service of our mission.

Guiding Principles for Responsible and Ethical AI Use

At Integral Christian Network, we believe that technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), should serve and enhance our mission of fostering deep spiritual connection, communal transformation, and divine participation. Our use of AI will be guided by the following core principles:

1. Human-Divine Centered

AI will be used to support and strengthen human creativity and spirituality—not to replace or diminish the human element at the heart of our mission. Discernment and collective wisdom will always be ultimately held by human leadership and guidance. AI is not a substitute for human and divine intelligence. It is a tool to support creativity and insight through resourcing, editing, and generating suggested possibilities, not a final product.

2. Commitment to Transparency

We commit to using AI in ways that are transparent and understandable. Currently, AI is used only for image creation, creative input, and resource gathering (such as search assistance). We do not use AI for decision-making or to generate original written content for our articles. Any AI-generated grammar and wording suggestions are reviewed and discerned, not automatically accepted.

3. Ethical and Responsible

AI use will align with our core values and spiritual commitments. We will ensure that AI is applied in ways that are just, fair, and respectful of all people.

4. Privacy and Security

We will protect the privacy and confidentiality of all personal and communal data. AI will be deployed with safeguards to maintain trust and integrity, including: 

  • Content Review – All AI-generated content (such as images or grammar corrections) will undergo human review and approval to ensure it aligns with our mission and values.

  • Transparency – We will clearly communicate how AI is used and acknowledge AI-generated contributions where appropriate.

  • Bias Monitoring – We will regularly assess AI outputs to ensure they reflect our values and avoid harmful bias or misrepresentation.

  • Personal Data Protection – We will never upload, share, or transfer personal information into AI without explicit permission. Meeting recordings & AI summaries fall under Zoom’s security policies)

5. Adaptable and Evolving

AI is constantly changing, and so will our approach. We will regularly review and update our AI use to reflect new insights, ethical considerations, and technological advancements.

Starting in July, 2025, we began using the following “scale of ethical AI authorship disclosure” to indicate the extent of AI engagement in anything we produce. Absence of an indication using this methodology reflects no AI use whatsoever.
