Moving with the Rhythms of Evolution
Beckoning, Becoming, & Being
A new process for ICN Saturday emails for transformation, evolution, and WeCreating
What’s New with Our Saturday Emails
A Summary of what you’ll read below:
We’re shifting to a new 3-week rhythm in the Saturday emails to support deeper transformation and spiritual integration.
Here’s what to expect:
Week 1: Beckoning – You’ll receive an article on a new topic that invites deeper understanding and inspires embodied engagement.
Week 2: Becoming – We will share practices and prompts related to the previous topic, to help us explore and experience our spiritual becoming more fully.
Week 3: Being – A new focus! We will offer spacious ways to welcome and rest in who we are becoming, sharing invitations to rhythms of being we might inhabit, integrate, and manifest in our lives.
For the next few months, the substance of the weekly offerings will re-engage more deeply with the parts of the WeCreating series, so expect familiar themes to return in new and growing ways.
The new 3-week rhythm of Beckoning, Becoming, and Being is about more than the Saturday emails. We are coordinating several ICN activities to reflect and accompany this rhythm, including the process of Sunday morning gatherings and a new Friday morning session, all designed to help you and us live vibrantly into our evolutionary journey.
Dear ICN Community,
A little over a year ago, we introduced a new rhythm to our ICN emails that come to your inbox every Saturday. Instead of a new article each week, we recognized that we needed more time and focus on processes of “becoming.” By practicing, engaging, and integrating more consciously with the themes and lessons of each article in ways that have helped us inhabit more deeply our divine becoming, we experience greater transformation in ourselves, one another, and the world—the I, the We, and the All.
I hope you’ve experienced, personally and in community, some of the transformative impact that has been happening over this last year!
And now, a new rhythm is emerging.
As we’ve worked with this sequence, we have felt and responded to a call for more time and focus on a third aspect in the movements of evolution. It has been present before, of course, but in a more implicit way. From the field of experience in our community and in a WeCreating way, we have responded to now make it more explicit and intentional.
This is to embrace and integrate more fully the aspect of Being.
From the initial “beckoning” of the inflow of a new invitation to learning, brought forth through a Saturday writing, we then engage in the interflow of becoming through spiritual practices, art, and other catalyzing processes of transformation. We now make more space and time for being that which we are becoming.
Now, every third week on Saturdays, we will invite you to more fully inhabit your divine being in conscious and spacious ways.
Just as with the becoming offerings, these are intended to support us throughout the entire week to more deeply in-habit who we truly are in our divine being. We are cultivating new ways of supporting each of these three rhythms in community, which we’ll share as they come forth.
How do I integrate this into my life?
How do I more fully inhabit these teachings and practices in ways that impact how I live?
What am I being invited to embrace or release in my life in response to who I am becoming now?
What new habits of being am I being invited to in-habit?
How has this been active in my life already and how might I manifest it more fully?
These are some of the questions that we’ve heard in the ICN community and that we will embrace in this third week of being.
The rhythms of being are many, and we will seek to honor that intentionally, holding invitations that speak to both the collective movements and energy in our We, while also seeking to welcome and integrate the variety of places, movements, and states any one of us might be in the midst of in our lives now.
In the great flower of being, there is room for all aspects of life and seasons of the journey.
Focusing on our divine being is not the same as our divine becoming. From intentional engagement in practices of transformation, we make space for simply being who we are becoming.
We are always becoming, yes, but we also need the rhythms of being reflecting who we are now, because of our becoming.
We might be invited to consciously reflect, to recognize, to savor and appreciate. We might see how being who we truly are can impact our spheres of influence or invite us into new ways of WeCreating. We might hear stories of transformation and how people have changed and become more who they are in their divine being.
There will still be invitations and even actions to take, but ones that arise from the place of who we truly are, in communion, in our divine being. These are the new habits, or the in-habiting of new ways of being that more truly reflect the beauty, truth, and goodness of who we have become in our transformative work and in the grace of the mystical body of Christ.
Rhythms of Evolution for WeCreating from Our Divine Vocation
These movements of beckoning, becoming, and being are of course not just specific to ICN or the process of our weekly offerings. They can be recognized as ways of moving in life to help foster loving evolution personally and collectively. We bring this rhythm forth more consciously in this way because we have already been seeing and recognizing these movements throughout our community and beyond.
One primary way this has intensified is through the focus on WeCreating and Divine Vocation that we have been engaging with. If our divine vocation is about living into and from who we truly are, then we need the space for this being. And from the truth of our divine being, in communion, arises our true voice, our deep calling, and our forms of embodying God enfleshed on earth, the mystical body of Christ we are, moving and bringing forth in the world today. This is what we have been calling “WeCreating.”
To WeCreate from our divine vocation takes all of us living more and more into the truth and reality of our divine being. And while we have completed the writings for this series, our inhabiting this way of being together is very much ongoing.
So, rather than move to a new topic, we are going to be re-spiraling, re-sourcing, and re-engaging with several of the articles from this WeCreating series, along with the becoming practices, and also integrating new applications, sacred pauses, and invitations into our Rhythms of Being.
This third week will offer space to…
Enliven what’s stirring
Rest and re-integrate
Deepen embodiment
Live into what we are Becoming
This cosmic shift, this paradigm gift—we share in it together.
So much is moving and transforming, shedding and shaking.
Let’s strengthen our communal resolve and go around again.
What wisps of spirit are still whispering?
What sparks still glimmer, awaiting flame?
What unearthing is still coming to surface?
Where is the flow moving and deepening in our midst?
To live from our divine vitality
Drawn by joys of divine inspiration
Into fuller expressions of our divine vocation
Daring to display God’s splendor ever more!
Let’s take a breath.
Let’s re-Source.
Let’s Be.
