Being in Divine Participation
This week’s rhythm of evolution: Being
From the sacred beckoning of spirit and through our divine becoming, we embrace and inhabit new and deepening ways of being.
Here and now, we offer and respond to invitations to inhabit our divine being in conscious and spacious ways.
We make space for being who we are becoming, who we truly are, who we are now.
We rest in abiding within our holy communion, our Christ union with all things.
And we open up to new and deepening habits, the in-habiting of new ways of being that authentically reflect the beauty, truth, and goodness of who we have become in our transformative work and in the grace of the mystical body of Christ.
We hold all of these rhythms of being in the field of belonging.
In support of our rhythms of evolution—Beckoning, Becoming, and Being—you are also invited to participate in a new gathering called WeEvolve, on Fridays at 10 am Central Time.
This week’s WeEvolve gathering will be a spacious, communal time of Being together.

Abiding, Attending, Here & Now
The beckoning we have opened up to these last weeks is our divine participation. To living a spirituality that embraces and engages in our divine being and becoming in this life, even today. Rather than heaven being a transcendent escape or deferred reality, we are invited to inhabit the realm of God here and now.
From the essence of the teachings of Jesus, we do this by abiding and attending.
Abiding in who we truly are in God, our divine being, God-Being-Us, unified and whole with all things—the vine and the branches.
Attending to ourselves, one another, and the world with love, care, service—the outpouring of love and life.
As we focus now on the aspect of being—which is simply inhabiting, integrating, and manifesting who we truly are in our lives—we take the time to be with what we have learned, how we are becoming through our practices and the grace of God, and the ways of being that are here for us now.
You are invited now to this simple practice of being
Below are the three core elements offered as aspects of our divine participation. There are the word(s), a scripture of a saying of Jesus, and an image.
We invite you to engage with them slowly and spaciously, letting your being absorb and rest in each. If you like, you can follow this simple process as an aid:
First, tune into the fullness of your embodied awareness with a short Whole-Body Mystical Awakening practice, opening up to your presence through your heart, your spiritual womb, your feet, and your head.
Then, slowly scroll down to the first aspect, abiding, pausing to be with it in a spacious and open way, receiving its energy and the felt sense of it in a part of your body, a particular center, or your whole body.
After a few moments, when you’re ready, let yourself be as that. Resting from thought and any reflection that has arisen, simply be abiding in your whole being, in and through your whole being—in yourself, in communion, in all.
Repeat this process with each of the three, then below you’ll find reflection invitations for integration.
Abiding
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you.”
- Jesus (John 15:4)
Attending
“And from your innermost being (womb) will flow rivers of living water.”
- Jesus (John 7:38)
Here & Now
“I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
- Jesus (John 10:10)
To conclude this practice of being, reflect on the following questions, taking time to process, journal, or converse with others.
From, with, and as abiding, attending, here & now:
How might you be opening to new ways of being, new habits of being that you are feeling ready to inhabit?
How might you deepen or manifest further what has already been present in your life in these aspects?
What previous ways of being in your life are you feeling drawn to release?
What new ways of being are you feeling drawn to embrace? What life integrations are here now for you to step into in ways that will impact your way of being, your relationships, and the world around you?
