Beloved Being
This week’s rhythm of loving evolution: Being
From the sacred beckoning of spirit and through our divine becoming, we welcome ways of being who we truly are in Christ.
Here and now, we offer and respond to invitations to inhabit our divine being in conscious and spacious ways.
We make space for being who we are becoming, who we truly are, who we are now.
We rest in abiding within our holy communion, our Christ union with all things.
And we open up to new and deepening habits, the in-habiting of new ways of being that authentically reflect the beauty, truth, and goodness of who we have become in our transformative work and in the grace of the mystical body of Christ.
If you haven’t yet engaged with the Beckoning & Becoming offerings, we encourage you to explore those first:
In “practicing” community, we are engaging in the very work of evolution itself—which is to inhabit love in living relationship, to grow in our capacity to embody love, and to deepen in our being, which is communal.
From our beckoning to practice community and the evolutionary becoming that occurs through the great force of love–amorization–we now come to our rhythm of being.
One of the dynamics of this rhythm of evolution is to turn from the many ways we are seeking, taking in, striving, working, and making an effort in our spiritual lives. This does not mean our being is passive, but rather that it’s not all up to us.
We are not negating our agency, initiative, and inspiration–but intentionally countering the pervasive, conditioned patterns of modern individualism that tell us to always be productive, to make it happen, to practice more and more in our striving.
Releasing the grip of our self-referentialism even in our spiritual endeavors.
This, too, is a move into beloved community.
We can simply welcome, from the truth of our being, the always already inherent divine communion at the heart of all things. And in our very own heart.
We don’t have to create communion — communion is already here.
We can simply welcome how God is loving us, loving others, loving the world into greater, deeper being and becoming. Amorization acted upon us constantly and graciously.
We don’t have to be the author of love — love is already here.
We can simply welcome how the universe is building itself up in love, evolving because it is suffused with the greatest and most pervasive force there is, woven and embedded in the very dynamism of life. And at the core of our most natural being.
We don’t have to make evolution happen — evolution is already here.
Yes, we have our active role, our crucial and necessary participation in all of it. We have our holy aspirations and sacred beckonings. We move in the delight of the many ways we transform, become, and evolve–which take dedication, devotion, and commitment.
And, we are also held by so much more.
In the great love and communion of divine being,
May we behold.
May we be held.
May we be.
Now, as you read the words below from the last two weeks, allow yourself to receive them not only as that which we are called to and seek to become, but so too what is already being.
Behold, be held, and be in the love of God, amorizing and communalizing all things.
Behold, be held, and be in the love of God, amorizing and communalizing all things.
LOVE ONE ANOTHER
To be a mystical community is to embody the deep interconnections that exist among us–not defined by shared ideas, shared spiritual backgrounds, or even by the shared methods of practice. These are channels and avenues into deep meeting deep. The field of love.
Where we can share in the depths of our spiritual experience, in the mystical consciousness of divine presence in, around, and through one another. Actively inhabiting the larger body of God, participating in the flow of our deep interconnectedness beyond our barriers of individualism.
Pause, for being beloved.
Behold, Be Held, Be.
Though well-being, peace of mind, greater fulfilment, and other personal benefits may come from our spirituality, it is love that we draw upon and step into for our meaning, purpose, and deepest value.
This is love, not as an external imperative, but a wellspring of vitality. Not something we seek, but the marrow of our bones, the fiber of our strength, the DNA of our being.
Pausing here, welcome in your body a felt sense reality of this—
the very marrow, fiber and DNA of our being.
COMMIT WITH ONE ANOTHER
In healthy mutuality, we are participating with one another beyond reciprocity and into interflow. We find ourselves together in a place of open freedom, able to respond to the flow of spirit arising and moving in our midst with a loose hold on our personal needs, while also ready and looking to bring forth our unique giftings, skills, and passions to contribute to the community in love and creative generativity.
This is where our mutuality becomes effusive, arising from the great gift of our precious personhood and the divine communion of which we are.
Pause, for being beloved.
Behold, Be Held, Be.
We are living members of The Body of Christ. In the mystical enactment of this, it is not just a metaphor for different roles and functions we play, but an actual collective embodiment of the spiritual and energetic realities of our communal body. It is an expression of who we actually are on levels beyond our individualism.
Relationality brings us into living community. A great and vast community with ourselves, one another, and the entire cosmos—divine, human, and material reality together.
Pausing here, welcome in your more-than-individual body a felt sense of the reality of this—
The interflow of the communal body of God we are.
LIVING EVOLUTION TOGETHER
The universe is building itself up in love. And while we have the joy and privilege to participate in our small and crucial ways of this becoming in and through us, we are also graced with the gift and delight of it all being so much bigger than us.
The becoming of amorization is not only something we do, but is also acted upon us constantly and graciously. The great force of divine love is living and moving in this world in untold and unseen ways, encompassing and undergirding every single thing and every single moment.
Pause, for being beloved.
Behold, Be Held, Be.
On this path we can discover a deeper cohesion forming among us. A synergy of confluent life present in our midst. We can discover spiritual intimacy with others on the soul level. We can discover the deep joy of effusive mutuality, working together from the divine depths into the creative unfolding of loving evolution manifesting in our time.
The rhythm of evolution flows forth in many streams—living pathways through which we cultivate our capacity to embody, express, and co-create love in the world. As we engage and flow through these streams together, we are moving in the confluence of deeper communion, life to the full, and more conscious participation in the ongoing becoming of Christ in and among us.
Pausing here, welcome in your cosmic being a felt sense of this vast and intraconnected reality—
The confluence of endless streams of living water, flowing into being; flowing into you, flowing into us.
Flowing into all.
Continuously being filled with the fullness of God.
